In preganancy, WBCs are normally elevated a bit because of an increase in neutrophils.

-start on long acting (ACTOS -- 40 units once a day)
-also add regular insulin

-start Norvax (calcium channel blocker...already taking zestoretic whcih has ace inhibibitor ... so no point taking lotrel which has an ace inhibitor)

Fibrates: better for triglycerides.

Zestoretic -- a diuretic and an ACE inhibitor
.5 - 1 unit /kg2/3, 1/3 evening206 lbs --> 90 kg40 units15 morning, 30 evening
treatment: Neomycin, polymixn B, and hydrocortisone (Cortisporin Otic)

Blepharitis?
16 month old kid (can't talk) comes in with an inflammed upper eye-lid (left side only). I am thinking its some type of infection (the conjunctiva is not red or has any type of discharge). After close inspection/plapation, we notice a small nodule (not a chalazion) in the middle of the inflammation.
DX: insect bite (wasp)
TX: corticosteroid cream
